Reducing Urban Poverty Graduate Student Paper Competition: Where are They Now?

To encourage a new generation of urban policy makers and promote early career research, USAID, International Housing Coalition (IHC), World Bank, the Wilson Center, and Cities Alliance have co-sponsored annual graduate student paper competitions, seeking abstracts on urban poverty in the developing world. Finalists were selected to present their work at an urban policy workshop held at the Wilson Center in Washington, D.C, and were published in an annual publication from the Center. Since then, these authors have set out in the field of urban planning in institutions and vocations across the world. Read on to follow some of the work these featured competition winners have been involved with over the years.
